  20. C= : I don't think C= reduced prices as a matter of choice.  I think it was
  21.      more a case of having to ship and _sell_ units to keep the creditors
  22.      from closing them down.  In C= last two years of business there were
  23.      big price cuts on the A600, A1200 and CD32.  This were reflected in 
  24.      massive write-downs of stock value which added to C= losses, but did
  25.      mean they shipped more units.  It didn't work of course...

  27. AT : There is now way AT/Escom are going to sell the machine at a loss.
  28.      Escom have had massive aquisitions in the last year, the core business
  29.      of Escom has, is, and always will be PC.  FACT is they will not put
  30.      an Amiga on the market that can compete with PC, simply because they 
  31.      can make more money on 1 PC sale v. 1 Amiga sale.  Cause Amigas are
  32.      expensive to manufacture.

  35. : off-sale for up to 2 years, has gone *up* in price by 100 quid and is somehow
  36. : incompatible with some "A1200" games (yes, I know about DSKRDY, don`t correct
